Web Browser SAP GUI¶
Opens the currently active ABAP object in SAP GUI running inside your default web browser (SAP WebGUI). Useful when you need to interact with an object in its native SAP GUI interface without leaving your development workflow.
Prerequisites¶
- SAP WebGUI must be enabled on the target SAP system (ask your Basis team if unsure).
How to Open¶
With an ABAP file open in the editor, use any of the following:

| Editor toolbar | Click the Open in Browser GUI icon |
| Command Palette | Ctrl+Shift+P → ABAP FS: Open SAP GUI in external web browser |
The object opens in your default browser. The URL can be copied and shared with other users who have access to the same system.
